The Dart River Safaris takes you on a journey through Te Waipounamu (World Heritage Area), where snow capped mountains range over a glacier formed valley blanketed with ancient forest.

There are two unique options to experience the area - The Dart River Safaris and The Funyaks. Both trips are designed to show you the best of the valley by land and water.

On the Dart River Safari half day trip; experience the most scenic jet boating in New Zealand along the Dart River. During our nature experience stroll amidst ancient forests unchanged for 80 million years while your guide provides informative and interesting commentary on the environment. Then join our back road coach for a journey through Paradise and see film locations from LOTR's, high country farm stations, and hear about early Maoris search for Pounamu (Greenstone) in the area.

After your trip, enjoy complementary refreshments at one of our local establishments.

The Safari is designed to allow any visitor the opportunity to explore a World Heritage Area - we have visitors of all abilities, and we truly show them the untouched paradise of New Zealand.

During your Funyaks full day experience you will experience NZ's most scenic jetboating experience and then float down river in their own inflatable kayak allowing plenty of time to explore the rivers hidden secrets. Enjoy a wilderness buffet lunch and exceptional guide interaction on this premium product.

Funyaks is more suited towards visitors who are looking for a unique eco-experience - guests must have average fitness.

Both products are truly the best way to see touch and feel the Dart River.
