There are no introduced predators or pests. The island is much as it was over a century ago. View rare Saddlebacks, Stitch birds, Red Crowned Parakeets plus a host of others. En-route to the island you will pass through the Kapiti Marine Reserve, where you may see passing whales, dolphins and a variety of gulls, gannets, penguins, terns and shearwaters. Only 50 visitor permits a day are issued. Stay overnight for your opportunity to see the very rare Little Spotted Kiwi in it’s natural environment.
